Did you Know?
Swimming and water safety is compulsory as part of the National Curriculum, with the aim that by the age of 11 (Key Stage 2) all children should be able to swim unaided for at least 25m.
We offer swimming lessons for Infant and Junior School children at St John’s School in Danbury, Essex
We make learning to swim a fun and enjoyable experience!
We initially teach children to be confident in the basic techniques of swimming. Then progress onto the four strokes and many skills through fun practices with floats and woggles. All pupils are taught to their individual needs and all progress in their own way, whilst working toward the ASA Learn to Swim programme.
During the summer term we teach various life saving skills where the children get to swim in the summer clothes.
